Testimonials
"I can’t thank Amanda enough for her help, her guidance, her presence and I am grateful to have met her. After seeing many counsellors in the last few years and not being happy with any of them. I am so lucky to have met Amanda and worked with her. She is fantastic and will be a great help to anyone who works with her. I would highly recommend her to anyone: she has been the best counsellor I have had sessions with."

" I began suffering from anxiety about a year ago. In the Summer of 2016, I found out my mother had advanced cancer. A few months later, the doctor informed our family that my father had advanced cancer too. I was distraught, heartbroken and angry. I couldn't believe something so awful could happen to both of my parents.
I began suffering from obsessive thoughts. I overthought things, a lot. The question 'what if?' would pop into my head multiple times on a daily basis. Sometimes my obsessive thoughts were so extreme that I became frustrated enough to want to physically hurt myself.
Leaving the house was difficult; I worried about my safety; I worried that I had left an appliance on and then envisioned fires burning the house down. I began to get social anxiety: coversations would leave me with sweaty palms, heart palpitations and a nagging worry that I had said the wrong thing.
I still battle anxiety every day, however my sessions with Amanda have enabled me to feel like my old self again. Amanda has helped me re-discover the bubbly, confident side of myself - something I thought I had lost.
With mental illness you often feel alone - as if you are the only one suffering from these thoughts. You sometimes think you are crazy.
Amanda has helped me realise that I am not alone. She has given some normality back to my life in teaching me how to cope with anxieties. I feel cared for and understood.
Her guidance and support has helped me grow as a person and I will always be thankful for our sessions together. "

"I met with Amanda following the death of my father, but I shared many other anxieties and feelings with her too. Amanda is a warm, caring and gentle listener. She makes you feel wonderfully at ease and free to be open and honest. We explored ways that I could actively manage my fears, sadness and anxieties and I genuinely feel stronger, happier and more at peace since our sessions"

"Since finding things hard to deal with, I was put in touch with Amanda who helped me build up my confidence and my ability to be a stronger person. I have seen Amanda during a period of time that was so tough for me and she was my rock. Helping me step by step. A few years later, I found myself in another sticky patch where I felt I needed guidance again; I turned to Amanda who again helped me be the person I wanted to be and build up my confidence to be who I am...Now I am happy and moving forward. But if I should ever take a step backward, I will be talking to Amanda to remind me of who I am and where I want to be"
