About Counsellor Amanda Kallipetis
I am a qualified counsellor who has been practicing for over 20 years.
I offer a safe, confidential, non-judgmental environment for you to feel comfortable to be open and honest with me. I studied at Bromley College and achieved a Higher National Diploma in Integrative Counselling. My course covered the three main Counselling approaches; Psychodynamic, Person-Centred and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
The main approach I use is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, however, if I feel it will help with the counselling process, I will use Psychodynamic and Person-Centred in my work. I am a Registered MBACP, and I adhere to the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy’s policies and guidelines. I practice in Bromley and Biggin Hill, Kent, and Tatsfield, Surrey. I may be able to accommodate home visits, however, this will include an additional fee.
My personal and professional experience contributes to my success as a Counsellor, as I have the ability to offer total empathy and a non-judgmental attitude. I am very down to earth and I have had feedback from clients who have said that this really helped them to feel at ease, and to be honest and open with me.
I have received referrals from various different agencies, including GP surgeries, Employee Assistance Programmes for the Prison Service and Transport for Police, and the government run project SureStart. I have also recieved self referrals from private clients through various sources.
